HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Well, almost. Close enough, right?!

For those of you who don't know, Halloween is said to have originated in Ireland. We gained the tradition of carving jack-o-lanterns from an old Irish tradition where children would carve faces and designs into turnips and carry the pumkin with them while they were 'trick-or-treating'. While majority of Europe, Canada, and the United States celebrate a variation of the Irish Halloween, celebrations differ worldwide. Many Latin cultures celebrate Dia de Los Muretos, a 3-day long celebration, honoring the lives of past friends and family. Many families will construct alters in their homes and decorate them with pictures, flowers, and candy. On the final day of Dia de Los Muretos, families have picnics at the gravesites of their loved ones.

Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays, and not just because it's an excuse to eat all of the candy. I truly love the dark, gothic style that it inspires at parties and weddings alike. Not to mention all the fun, unique costumes. If you are having a Halloween inspired wedding, we have a bunch of fun ideas to make your day stand out. One way is to have floral broomsticks for your favorite witches. This idea brings Halloween spirit, but can still be used with more traditional style decor and fashions. If your the type to through caution to the wind, dress up as fun characters to your weddings. Encourage guests to dress up too. This will make for some daring and unique wedding photos for you to enjoy for years to come.

Hope you all have an amazing Halloween weekend filled with family and friends! Remember to follow us on Facebook,Twitter, and Instagram
